Tv under $800 CAD

RemiDom

4k is nice and all but I don' think my PC would appreciate that.  :)

Check out Visions, there's a few of them around the city and they have pretty good deals on TVs sometimes

Yeah and all of the reviews are great so it could be worth the purchase.

Every time I've bought something from Visions (at least the one on 32nd in the NE) I've been able to get a deal from the salesman that's a bit lower then what they're asking on the sticker. Just make some nice conversation and they might give you a good price

True, but it's also on amazon. Visions would probably even carry it. :)

Welcome to Linus Tech Tips!

Personally I'd just yolo it and get this

http://www.amazon.com/Seiki-SE50UY04-50-Inch-Ultra-Model/dp/B00BXF7I9M

IF ANYONE LOOKS AT THAT TV AND THINK IT IS GOOD, THEY MIGHT HAVE A SLIGHT BRAIN DISORDER.

SEIKI IS A BRAND OF 4K SCREENS THAT TRY AND LOWER THE PRICE OF 4K SCREENS.

People say Seiki is the manufacture of the sony tv panels but this tv (65 inch) had the worst colours and speakers in the world. One of the pixels(The pixel was pretty big and noticeable) died in the first day in buying it, which led me to give it back to tigerdirect (Thank god they gave me a full refund)

If anyone is interested in this tv I honestly would recommend a nice samsung or LG tv.

And a Decent tv that I personally own

I have the same Insignia TV and I can agree that it's pretty good.... but that's no reason to HIT ON SEIKI AND WRITE LIKE THIS

I was just wondering what some other thoughts where for a TV around that price, this is the one I'm looking at so far.

http://www.walmart.com/ip/VIZIO-E600i-B3-60-Full-HD-1080p-120Hz-Class-LED-Smart-HDTV/34890754

*edit I'd probably go up to 900

Canadian TV prices are quite a bit higher it seems. $900 seems to only get a 50" model for most major brands.

If you don't mind Plasma...

http://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/lg-60-1080p-600hz-plasma-tv-60pb6500/881232

If you can stretch to $1000, the extra 5" is definitely noticeable.

There's a 48" for half that much, if you don't mind shaving off two inches. I actually have the same one in my living room, so if @RemiDom wants to come over some time to see how it does as a PC screen then you're welcome to
