PS Vita worth it?

KingKeith55

So, Ive been considering selling my DS Lite and a ton of games for a PS Vita.

I seen DS Lite's going for as much as 75$, so il just sell it for 50$ and DS Games still go for around 20 bucks sometimes.

Il just sell my 10 games or so for 10 dollars each, and I have mainly good games that people want (Pokemon, Mario etc.)

So do you think its a good idea to sell my DS and Games to buy a PS Vita? My friends have PSN so it might be nice to play some games with them, and I kind of need a new mobile gaming device as my DS is getting old, I can always use DS emulators anyways.

So what do you think? Should I sell my DS and games and buy a PS Vita? Or should I keep my DS.

Sell your ds and get a 2ds? lol

No I gave up on ninendo, within a year they will come up with a new DS and then there will be no games for 2ds, typical nintendo for you.

They just ditch their old system and say "HEY IF YOU STILL WANT NEW GAMES AND SUPPORT THEN BUY THE NEW SHIT"

There are some great games, tear away, persona, little big planet, metrico, velocity 2x, uncharted, back collection of psp games. If you're into indie games and travel alot I'd recommend it. If not i wouldn't bother. It seems like a couple of good games are left in production, most people have given up developing for the vita.

Well in Japan alot of games are being released on the PS Vita, in some areas its generated alot of attention. One of my friends has the Vita, and it has some pretty neat games. I travel sometimes, and I dont have anything else to really game on when im travelling.

I hate my Vita (original model with the OLED which is much nicer than new one). I haven't played it in months. The games are over priced and a lot of them are poorly optimized. It has much worse specs than Shield. Proprietary memory cards. I had to buy a tiger grip thing to make it comfortable, which isn't really much better. Just one man's opinion but I think it stinks.

I wouldn't go to the extent that I hate my vita. But I don't play it, Not enough good games, and the few good games are overpriced, for mobile gaming I use my OnePlus One (Better games, Nicer graphics)

So from what I hear, depends on the games you are into. I will probably mainly use it for road trips and such, maybe play some shoot n' loot or some kind of game like that.

I have tiny hands, so I doubt it would bother me. I used my friend's vita awhile ago, it seems pretty nice. The reason I dont want to get a phone for gaming is becaue it would be impractical, and I dont have the money for a super duper expensive phone.

OnePlus One is about twice as much as the cost as a Vita, and I dont see the use for a phone as I dont need one right now.

Also, im saying il be selling my DS and games for it.

I don't think you'll be able to sell a ds lite for 50dollars nowadays, the hardware was made in 2005.... You can sell it for 25 depending where your selling it, and the games for maybe 5 dollars each. Ps vita isn't worth it IMO. You would be better off getting an android tablet

like the nexus 7, and you would save money since games are way cheaper. With the money you save you can probably get the nvidia sheild tablet that is more powerful than a ps vita and you can play some desktop games on it too.

IMO The PSVita is a great system that had a lot of potential from the start. But in recent times it seems like Sony has abandoned the Vita. However, if your someone who likes indies, anime inspired, and really artistic games, I'd say buy one. I recommend Gravity Rush and hopefully Gravity Rush 2.

If there are 5 games that you want on the Vita, then go for it. Really, it's all about the games you want to be playing if you are looking into it. I'd recommend it solely because I've had a lot of fun with the games that are available/get released on the thing. That said, my tastes in games do tend towards Platformers, SRPGs, Action Games, and Shooters, and I've enjoyed most of the games I've played on it (Yes, I've played Borderlands 2 on the Vita. And yes, I also do play it on an R9-290 powered PC. It plays well enough for what it is).

So if that's what you're looking for, then go right ahead. Though, why aren't you considering a 3DS, especially when your DS games can work on that?

Because the 3DS is overpriced, and there arent many good DS games out there anymore.

and hopefully nintendo will keep it easy to emulate DS games too. I can always play my GBA/DS games on an emulator.

@KingKeith55 Emulation is pretty good for DS now. Do no worries.
