LTT 3DMark Thread

Considering I have the fastest chip on the market its a sad sad statement. They should abolish 720p testing

720p Testing, who runs 720p? Anyway if you are getting bottlenecked, you might want to move to a 14-core Xeon

I agree.

We are getting a new 3DMark Benchmark with the official launch of DX12 later this year, that should make things much more fun.

Got my EVBot controller. Hopefully Precision X is wrong cos 1.5V isn't happening on air. 1.3 - 1.35V i'm good with.

The problem is that all the synthetic benchmarks are inaccurate when it comes to measure the real performance of the latest hardware because they are all outdated. Best example for me is Unigine Valley... I mean come on in 2015 a benchmark that lives of a single CPU core? Really?

The best benchmark for me right now is FS ULTRA, because it stresses the GPUs and doesn't rave too much around the CPU pure clock and Unigine Heaven 4.0.

Because no matter if people like that or not with DX12 when applications and games support more than 4 cores. This is where it shows the real potential of CPUs like we both have.  Heck even the FX series from AMD will probably see a nice bump up. That's why I will not recommend, unless money is super tight, an i5 anymore.

If you don't like 720p on Fireskrike, just use Firestrike Extreme.

I always thought regular firestrike ran at 1280*720 or some such strange resolution.

It certainly doesn't look like 1080. Meh, more you know I guess.

I did some real benchmarking with the watercooled Titan X 2way SLI tonight, and what can I say? Impressive 4K results! Back in the top ten in 3D Mark´s HoF ;).

Unfortunately I couldn´t beat my GTX980 3way SLI scores, but this was done with also heavily modded BIOS on those cards with a boost of 1602 and 1618MHz. So I´m not unhappy about my results, because I know my score is extremer than most peoples 3way scores. So yeah I can say I´m able to beat normal OCed GTX980 in 3way with my Titan X 2way SLI :).

Real world game performance is anyways off the table, since I´ve got in 4K better min FPS with the Titan X 2way SLI and no stuttering issues or scaling issues :).

Also, don't know if Google sheets can do this like excel, but freezing the top 3 rows with freeze panes would be incredibly helpful.

And here I am still wanting to put Kepler(GK110) Titan's under water and mod the piss out of them for at least 1450 MHz or more on the cores.

That´s more like it. Your CPU OC seems to be unstable because your time measurment is off, but as long as it isn´t a top score attempt I will let those scores always count :).

BTW thanks for the tip with the freezed lines... I work so much with Excel and didn´t think about it in my sheet here...

My entire job is just Excel, as depressing as that is, and my boss is super anal about freezed panes.  So every spreadsheet I see, panes immediately need to be freezed before my OCD takes over and I kill a goat.

Also, thanks for the heads up about the CPU OC, had no idea what that meant.  It's the first time I've had an unlocked CPU and have no experience with it beyond the last week.  Looks like I've got more work to do on it.
