LTT 3DMark Thread

I'm glad I don't always trust other's and test things on my own.  The 4.3 limitation may be real, but it isn't in my case.  I did very little to get it to 4.5.  I tried 4.5 at 1.3 and it just barely crashed so I ran 1.4 and it was a go.  I would imaging that stability will be somewhere in between the two.  I haven't touched CPU cache or anything else yet, but as you can see, Cinebench R15 didn't mind either way.  :D  There's definitely a little more left in it.  Just not sure how much.

@done12many2 but the question still stands - is the 6950X enough to give you a 1000 mark boost to get that throne?

I doubt that my friend, but I'm willing to give it a shot.  Competing against the big guns (3 & 4-way SLI) with two little reference cards is not joke.  :D

3DMark scores for balanced systems, if you can get your Combined score and Physics score closer to your Graphics score it will score the system higher

Well, I'm about BLOW that physics score up as soon as I get a few more things done.  Hopefully a couple of hours.

Look forward to seeing that.

Would you also mind doing a single thread run in Cinebench?

Got my 3570K (remember those???) stable at 4.7GHz (anything over is too hot), decided to run Fire Strike.

Benchmark: Fire Strike
CPU: 3570K @4.7GHz
GPU: GTX 670 SLI (ASUS DirectCU II (2GB))
GPU Core: One card boosts to 1,215 MHz, the other only gets to 1,137 MHz
GPU Memory: 3,151 MHz
Score: 10,476
3DMark Link: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/12439633?

Also decided to run with my 3570K at stock, to see what difference it made to physics score.

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/12436672?

Quite a big jump.

After getting my second 980Ti in on Tuesday and putting it in Monsuta along with building the whole custom loop for the cards (pair of 360mm rads for pair of cards is beaut, update to the build log soon), here's the first submission for my Monsuta rig which I do believe blows my old Beast rig from 2014 out of the water! xD

I might resubmit an updated score down the line once I can be bothered to manually OC the cards beyond what EVGA did for me.

I have an MSI Lightning 290X should be fine. Can I use a uni instead of an actual loop?

With a lot of volts, come really high VRM temps.....without a full coverage block, you'd be pushing your luck....

According to the spreadsheet I did :D. Still not #1 though since I can't beat 4 Titan X's.

With a 4th card you should be able to. AMD's Crossfire Scaling is much better than Nvidias SLI.

Badass!  You're killing it with that graphics score man.   Very nice!

I'm thinking that physics score should be closer to 24,000 or am I making that up?

Either way, nice work.  Micro Center is open tomorrow.  I might need to grab a 3rd 1080  if they have one.  Just kidding.  Or am I?

Badass!  You're killing it with that graphics score man.   Very nice!

I'm thinking that physics score should be closer to 24,000 or am I making that up?

Either way, nice work.  Micro Center is open tomorrow.  I might need to grab a 3rd 1080  if they have one.  Just kidding.  Or am I?

Yeah, I heard something about it.  Haven't been staying on top of it for the last couple of weeks.

I should be able to squeeze a bit more out of just two, but I don't think I'll ever be able to match the graphics score @Masada02 just pulled off with three cards.
