Watching Apple's event tomorrow on my TV

minimoose

I'm planning to watch Apple's event tomorrow live on my TV with a few people but I have run into an issue.  Originally I was going to tabcast to my Chromecast from a Macbook Pro but I just realized that you can only watch the event in Safari (srsly wtf) and now I don't know how to set this up.  I don't have a Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter so I can't plug the laptop in directly, and since it has to be a Mac or iOS device I don't have any other ideas.  Is there some kind of screen sharing app for Chromecast that just records and streams your screen?

Chrome can stream your entire screen, and you should be able to shrink Chrome and maximize Safari.

Also, a MBP has an HDMI port.

It's a 2011 MBP (I think) and it defo doesn't have an HDMI port.  OHHH CNET has a stream?  Will it be raw feed or will they be talking and stuff?

Tim Cook is never the only presenter. There are plenty more.

Is there a way for it to stream audio also in that mode?

I am unsure, though if it isn't an issue you can find a speaker and plug it into your laptop.
