Raijintek metis: Aluminium everything, before you ask, yes that too

brownninja97

Before i get onto the case a few people have asked me why i overview(say they review lol) cases or things in general which arent too good, well its not about whether its big news or small news, i do this because its fun and because it may help someone, there a few people will comment but over the years hundreds of people may check out the case and want to see content on it, some sites scare new people to the market with fact after fact of numbers. Ill keep on reporting whether its big or small news, no one can stop me, apart from the mod team and my parents.

gallery-metis01big.jpg

An interesting concept before before I enter this animal(yes i just said that) know that this isnt a lion, tiger or bear(oh my) its more of a pony or octupus, its not made for "blow your face off" performance, its for the stylish guy, the kind of person that owns a Saab.

Btw do you like colour(color for the americans) on your alumium i do here is the roster of colours for this case;

  • Black
  • White
  • Silver
  • Red
  • Blue
  • Gold(it looks orange tbh)
  • Yellow
  • Green
  • Lime green(assume its just a lighter shade)

The white and silver models have a minor appearance difference, the logo is white instead of black, try to think about that for a section, also keep it in your pants....

Then there is black coating in all cases, even white oddly enough.

gallery-metis05big.jpg

For the overviews sake ill only look at the black case because i think it looks nice, dont judge my opinion matters too *cries

So then dual usb 3.0, using a 19 pin of course, dual audio ports and power button, no reset button here lads.

gallery-metis06big.jpg

Onto the inside you see the single 120mm fan acting as a exhaust, no intake here.(not oem, its a raijintek fan, cfm isnt mentioned however)

You have support for two 2.5inch ssds or hdds and a single hdd, not very strong in that sector then.

gallery-metis08big.jpg

The psu goes in that bottem bit i thing, honestly it doesnt tell me much so im guessing on this, as always which itx get a modular cable, dont think you are a badass, you arent. Also it supports atx psus which is interesting.

There are also rubber case feat

No mention of dust filters anywhere, no rad support mentioned, no cable management places mentioned.

Gpu support, up to 170mm, thats very small, not you can have a dual slot gpu

Cpu cooler support, up to 160mm which is pretty nice for a itx case, but im not sure if its redeems it enough.

gallery-metis02big.jpg

Also the psu plug is at the top, a cable routes to the front where the psu will be.

Note hot air from the psu will go onto the cpu area which will help cooling definitely.

So in the end for this case im not sure about it, i cant tell if the spec marketing team did much work, its like they forgot a few things but its reasonable for the price, which ill get on to now.

Another top quality news post from brownninja97 well done.

I don't like the white logo on the front but apart from that the case doesn't look too bad at all and it's a nice price.

and they are a reliable company?

They make quite decent cpu coolers, but that's all I ever heard about them

ive used their coolers a few times, they seem nice enough, i know close to nothing about their cases other then what i site on sites and spec sheets, i might try one of their cases as an experiment for one of my customers.

For that price, it's actually not terrible. I wonder if having that fan as an intake would compromise performance heavily (in exchange for less dust everywhere).

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Very nice. This would be perfect for people who want a stylish case with a low budget.

Good review.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

So an mITX aluminium case from a fairly reputable company at less than £40? Sounds like a deal to me, especially considering how compact it is, although I would still put a modular SFX PSU in there considering how compact it is in height.

that will probably increase the gpu clearance, from the looks of the case, the psu is what causes the clearance problems.

Transparent Metal doesn't make sense, unless I looked into it there wouldn't be a way for me to have known.

the only explanation i have for that is using an extremely thin layer of aluminium or a aluminium compound. On the other hand you can bend aluminium and glass to make the silver appear as if it was transparent or semi transparent due to the weird ways of refraction, it confuses me, i havent done science to that level yet.

Is the box that it comes in aluminum too?

The stone cannot know why the chisel cleaves it; the iron cannot know why the fire scorches it. When thy life is cleft and scorched, when death and despair leap at thee, beat not thy breast and curse thy evil fate, but thank the Builder for the trials that shape thee.

Awesome case! Must have for me.

I don't see an intake

Back fan is intake, PSU is exhaust.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.
