PSU cable sleeves

Go to solution Solved by daemonowner,

Could you elaborate what extensions are(sorry I'm new to dealing with modular power supply cables and such).

These are extensions. You don't connect them directly into your power supply. They're extensions for the power supply cables.

On the other hand, there are cable kits like these from Corsair and EVGA. You do directly connect these to your power supply. They usually only work with certain power supplies due to the pin layout (Corsair sets only work with certain Corsair power supplies, EVGA sets only work with certain EVGA power supplies, etc), and they're often expensive.

Could someone tell me where to purchase PSU cable sleeves in a light blue color? Thanks.

Do you want extension cables or...?

Extensions work with any power supply, since they connect to your normal cables and you hide the normal cables behind the motherboard tray etc. A set of individually sleeved cables like those you can buy from Corsair or EVGA only work with certain power supplies, depending on the pinouts for the power supply.

I originally wanted to try putting sleeves on myself to say I did it but I guess I could go this route, thank you.
