Laptop for doing uni work on.

SamBurtoni

Hey,

So I know some of you may of seen my last thread asking for help deciding on a laptop for work/mid tier gaming but i've decided that i'd rather spend a little less money and keep the gaming on the desktop as that's what it's there for.

I need help deciding on a laptop to buy, what i'm looking for is as follows:

Lightweight (Must be able to carry it around)

15.6" so not too big but not too small.

Good storage options - 7200rpm or above (Pref want a SSD Option)

I7 CPU

Anything else such as discreet graphics would just be a bonus.

Price range around £700-900

Thanks.

Looked at the y50 and I just can't bring myself to buy it with those storage specs. 5400rpm HDD , no msata and no other slots :/

That laptop looks great but do they do anything similar on a UK website?

Surface Pro 3 is always a great option! It might not have the best iGPU but it's one monster of a workflow laptop/tablet.

I have the Surface Pro 2 and love it!

Would prefer windows to be honest. I feel like if I go for a Mac in my price range I won't be getting the best I can be.
