I wouldn't recommend that. The Pentium holds back even midrange cards.

I own the chip and it even faired well in Star citizen.

You also have a 750 Ti. The card in the OP's PCPP link is a lot more powerful than that and the G3258 does hold it back.

well fair enough 340.52 does have "enchanted directx". but you you link me it.

In all honesty than I'd bump up to a i5+h97 and drop to a 280.

I've been hearing 290's don't play well with Fx chips. and the 500w might be pushing it and bit.

It depends on the game and how well it wants to run on FX chips. 500W should be enough to overclock the 290 and 6300 a bit as you've still got about 50 Watts to play with.
