[Now with pics] Antec P182+H110 Ghetto Mounting

Guest Generallee

Hi everyone,

Yeah, i need to find a way to fit a H110 into an old Antec P182, it needs to be mounted so that the tubing still goes to the G10

I hate this case, i hate every bit of it, yet it's the most sophisticated case i've found in my shitty thrid world country .. the struggle is real

Can you elaborate on your hardware in the case? I'm not sure whether the H110 is even mountable unless you pull out a drill & make your own mounting holes for the aio cooler. Put the hose/tubing side that's connected to the radiator to the side closer to the 5.25" drive bays. If you do have enough space mount the G10 Kraken rad to the single 120mm fan in the back.

Unless you drill into the roof or remove the mid plate and drive mounting, the ghetto mount the H110 into the 120mm fan mounts using adapters, then your going to struggle. I've used one of those cases in my dad's office, and their awesome for their construction, and have a relatively decent design, but it's so damn difficult to do much in them for cooling if you have drives installed.

Well, one thing i now is that it's impossible to mount without modding the case, there is a H80i in the back 120mm fan mount, there is a 120mm in the front, i think i'll use some zip ties and just hand the H110 somewhere on the side of the case until I find another case

What case would you recommend me ?

something that actually does have the mounting for a 240/280mm rad, Most cases up to $100 have support for the H100(i). What's your budget?

No need to buy a radiator larger than 120mm for G10.  Going from a 120mm to a 280mm will only decrease temperatures by 8C, its just not worth the increase in price.

Your best bet is to buy an H55 + G10 + Heatsinks.  No reason to buy larger radiators when the 120mms already perform so well.

Is it just me or does that case have some pretty boss modding value ?, basement radiators like 900D, roof looks like it can house a 360 with some cutting, same with front ?.

Thing is the only AIO i've found here was the H110, and i've had to wait 2 weeks for it to arrive, now it's here and i installed it in the 290 with the G10

I think i'm gonna mod the top of the case, remove the dvd drive bay things and try to make more room for the H110, for now it's hanging on the side with two zipties ghetto style
