Vadisi

So you may have seen that the 780ti dcu2 oc edition is insanely cheap on amazon so i was wondering if i should by this or just wait for the 980(or what ever it will be called)

I don't know the logistics of that getting shipped to Aus, especially given how expensive shipping is (although I have a friend who shipped a cheap 690 from the states so it must be worth it if the card is cheap enough). If you can afford it I'd say it's definitely worth it though; just remember that you're risking warranty issues because you may have to return the card to the US at your expense (shipping wise).

Don't bother waiting for an unannounced card if you can't wait, given that you have a GTX 660 which isn't a bad card then I guess you could wait. But if you really need the upgrade (e.g. if you're trying to do triple screens or something) then I guess sure why not.

gtx 660

I would wait for the GTX 980 Ti or whatever they decide to call it... someone said at some point that they were coming Q1 2015 and the price point is going to be the same as a 780 Ti when it launched. Of course it depends what the benchmarks look like.

Just buy it, or you can wait for an item that doesn't have a release date or officially exist yet. The 980 at launch will cost more than the 780 now, so why wait?

Shipping is pretty decent. I have had an issue with an item from amazon and Amazon paid shipping.

While it's a good deal I would wait.

Nvidia is holding an event on the 18th so it could be a 800/900 series reveal so wait at least till that date.

And if they don't announce anything just get the 780ti.
