Email app using 30% of battery

KJaboski

Any suggestions on why would a email client app (andorid stock one) always use about 30% of battery throughout it's entire fully charged cycle? It is always first on top of the battery usage list and well ahead of other applications.

I got it to synch every 15min and don't receive a ton of emails but is it possibly because there is a lot of emails already saved?

The phone is Moto G with android 4.4.4

I'm sorry... I must be reading something wrong here. 30%?

Don't let it run in the background

Stop it from syncing

Use a better email app

There's no reason for an email app to use up that much battery.

The emial app I'm talking about doesn't have a push option, only sync options are: never, 5min, 10min, 15min etc... Gmail app is set to push by default so not sure if your thinking of that one.

Yes indeed it is showing about 30% everytime, I will try another email app latter on today to see if it changes anything.
