Is this worth it?

So Should i get it?..... Is there a way to unlock it?

there isn't a way to unlock. I thought it was and overclocking would make up for the difference. not really.

http://linustechtips.com/main/classifieds/item/812-i5-3570k-z77-sabertooth-combo-reduced/ this is another option worth looking at if you're interested. Just something I found in the classfied.

if it's in good condition. I don't see why not. I mean 10gb's of ram and a that can probably be overclocked. can be pretty much comparable to ivy bridge i7's.

i'd pass on it. 10GB RAM? using 4-slots is all sorts of bad wrong. minimum RAM is 2GB.

so that'd be 3 2GB sticks and 1 4GB stick. there will be more deals down the pike as more

switch to z87/97 platforms.

RAM might have mannie warranty, but the CPU/MOBO, out of serial warranty.

at stock its marginally better than a 4670k but since  the 2600 is locked i would still go with the 4670k

the RAM is a mess aswell

oh yeah you're right it's locked. completely missed that. still bit a bad deal dispite the ram mess.
