SSD in Laptop (Upgrade)

AustinB

Ive been looking at upgrading my laptops drive to Samsung's 850 Pro (1 TB).

Can a SSD be bottle-necked by anything?

System Specs:

CPU: Pentium B960 @ 2.2Ghz

RAM: 4GB

HDD: 500GB 5200RPM

Thanks.

Why do you need a 1tb ssd?

Just get a 256/512gb Crucial MX100/Samsung 840 Evo.

Videos/movies can easily be put on an external hdd--which will be much cheaper than a 1tb ssd.

As long as you run it off of a SATA 3 port it should run at optimum speeds.
