my parents don't want me build it,  they're scared I might mess up. :/

I SWEAR, all parents say that.

You must "Quote" to get my attention.

Building a PC is surprisingly easy. The only thing you could really mess up is the CPU, and you could watch a YouTube video for that.

Any one of linus' would suffice.

If you can't build one yourself go to Microcenter

[AMD Athlon 64 Mobile 4000+ Socket 754 | Gigabyte GA-K8NS Pro nForce3 | OCZ 2GB DDR PC3200 | Sapphire HD 3850 512MB AGP | 850 Evo | Seasonic 430W | Win XP/10]

i think everyone stopped and clicked on the build guide video just to hear linus make his pie/ice cream analogy. xD

Explain it to them step by step and make them watch the build guide. Literally all you have to do when building a PC is plug everything in. It's simpler than building legos. ;)

Am I the only one who misses these long build guides?

They'll probably do a 5th gen/800 (Or 900 series) build guide.

Probably. They teased a mineral oil cooled build guide on the WAN show a while back so we'll probably get one of those. I just miss the 45 min build guides and would happily trade these tiny little 20 min build guides.

now i kinda want pie and ice cream....

eh i got zuchini bread and butter. <3

seriously. its just plugging things in and pressing buttons. it isnt hard AT ALL.

if they're worried about parts not being compatible... pcpartpicker makes sure they are before it lets you actually choose them.

''adult legos''

easier.

''teenager.... kenex?''

easier.

''child.... plugging in the xbox....? right?''

good.

But is there a reason to make more long build guides, let's face it, it's sort of the same video over and over and over again

Why do you always die right after I fix you?
