Aren't they cutting back on a ton of stuff? This is why I dislike the sims:

Oh cool, the SIMS 3 releases today!

One week later: THE SIMS 3 EXPANSION. AND GUESS WHAT WERE GONNA BE JERKS AND CHARGE YOU 20 BUCKS FOR SIMPLE STUFF LIKE PETS WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE BASE GAME.

EA: SO YOU WANT A FULL GAME? 300 BUCKS PLEASE

In all seriousness, after the catastrophe with Sims 3 pay for everything, I'm probably not gonna get it.

 eGPU Setup: Macbook Pro 13" 16GB DDR3 RAM, 512GB SSD, i5 3210M, GTX 980 eGPU

New PC: i7-4790k, Corsair H100iGTX, ASrock Fatal1ty Z97 Killer, 24GB Ram, 850 EVO 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD, GTX 1080 Fractal Design R4, EVGA Supernova G2 650W

I wanted to, but I realized it too close to real life... you have to pay for every little thing.

I got the Create a Sim demo, and it's quite nice. Although it's like the graphics style has gone back in time :P

Also, like what firearm said, they've cut back on some stuff, like pools (which I enjoyed drowning my sims in)... So it doesn't look like I'll be buying Sims 4.

I don't even want to pirate it anymore. That just looks awful, it's like sims 2 HD remake, but a very bad one.

How weird as it may sounds but the 32-bit exec is the biggest problem i have with it by far.

32-bit was not enough for a modded sims 2 or a complete sims 3 (no mods, just base + all expansions uses almost 4gb ram, it's limit...), sims 4 will be even worse...

Just die EA.

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

Well I watched Jim Sterling's live stream of The Sims 4 last night and it crashed on him about 3-4 times, so that might be something you should take into account.

I played the sims 2 on my old family dell with 512mb of ram, 128mb gpu and 3ghz single core pentium. Run alright at the time I did know much about settings though. Once the sims 3 came I had to get my dad to increase the ram in the computer just so the game wouldn't blue screen.

If you are a sims fan then you are bound to get it because they haven't released one in 5 years now. Although they left quite a bit out which is seemingly retarded I love the new build mode.

Not so keen on the style of the game but hey, bad luck get used to it.

After taking a look at that thread only people who are completely mentally retarded and/or loving giving reach around for free would buy this game.

That's like being a really big Jaguar enthusiast, buying a version you love, then getting told apart from the full rrp you need to also buy the engine, tires, radio, gear stick, A/C, seats, seat belts etc etc as optional extras while having paid 20k (full price) for the car.

EA are getting retardedly bold, and if it's successful other companies will follow which means ppl who do indeed buy this need to die in fire.
