SSD in older laptop?

Hypnotoad

So the HDD in my girlfriend's laptop is failing, and I was looking at potential replacements online to figure out what I can replace it with that will also be an upgrade. She has a Dell Inspiron 1750 from late 2009. I looked up the model on Crucial's website and all it says for the HDD is that it supports SATA, but not what kind of SATA. (i.e. 1.5GBs, 3GBs, etc) Do you think it would be worth the extra money to replace the HDD with an SSD or just stick with a new HDD?

Thanks.

Yeah. It'll be SATA 3Gb and just get an SSD anyway, it really makes a mahusive difference.

Compatible with Windows 95

So do you think this is a good option then?

If it's an older laptop I wouldn't really buy an Evo. You can save some money and go for a less expensive ssd. You won't notice really notice the difference in speed and you can save yourself some money.
