Lol $193? You would be better off getting an 840 EVO or Crucial MX100

Not really. Kingston SSDs have pretty bad IOPS and lower than normal write cycles.

An 840 evo will give you a much better experience, and also its cheaper.

If you want the best possible reliability of any SSD, get an intel 730 series (they are expensive though)

I'm pretty sure that was the v series, I don't think it extends to the kc too. either way it's not really worth 200$

Stay away from the kingston ssd now. They changed the manufacturing process a while back and the speeds for those ssd's are about half the advertised speed. I would definitely say samsung evo drive. It's $130 for that size.

If I ever need to buy a new SSD, it will either be intel or samsung, nothing else.

Not extremely impressed with this SSD although it's my first one I thought it would be a bit faster. That said it's still much faster than my now full Caviar Black drive. I paid $180 for this SSD locally but I guess I will eventually invest in a 1TB Samsung SSD. It was still expensive for a 240GB SSD but at leased I am off HDD for the time being until I get a faster SSD.
