Laptop Question

I've been scouring the internet for hours, browsing all types of laptops, and sifting through them and I have finally come to decision.

I will probably get the $719 version and buy an SSD. 

 

If you guys can give me any feedback that would be great. 

 

As for my reason behind buying a laptop, I have a desktop and want to get a relatively cheap/portable laptop for school (computer science).

solid choice for a laptop. incredibly similar to mine(Computer engineering major) and I love mine. mine's a 1080p 15.6 inch IPS. 4200u, 8gb RAM, upgraded with a samsung 840 evo

where it says up to 10 hour battery life, they aren't kidding. I get 6 hours with the display at max brightness and 10-11 at a lower brightness typing documents and surfing the web
