It's intel's 530 240GB version. I can order a new one from germany for 130€ (shipping included) but I don't really want to pay that much for the performance boost I get from it. It's from someone I know so it isn't broken. Is it a good idea?

Why not get a Crucial M500 or MX100 or even a samsung 840 EVO. They retail for a similar price.

I have an Crucial MX100, it's only 100 euros and its good. Maybe go for that instead.
