Best/cheapest way to set up a wireless access point?

If you have an wirless card in your PC, there is an easy and free solution. you can set up your PC as an wireless bridge. (setting your PC up as access point.)

Just follow this guide:

http://tech.firstpost.com/news-analysis/how-to-use-a-laptop-as-a-wi-fi-repeater-2-40284.html

If your PC does not have wireless you can buy a cheap USB to WI-FI adapter.

Okay so the main router for the house (A BT HomeHub4) is located in the front room and does a pretty good job reaching across the house except the one room it's needed; my office/games room :P

So my current solution has been to use a wall adaptor from the Router to my office using the power lines to carry the signal then a direct connection to my PC from the wall adaptor VIA Ethernet, which works perfectly it's very consistent and only drops 0.1 to 0.2mbps of the actual speed coming into the house.

But it's annoying because my Laptop and my other Wireless internet devices won't work in there

So I was wondering if anyone knew a somewhat cheap solution to my problem? I've seen "Wireless Access Points" on Ebay and Amazon but I'm not exactly sure how they work and I can't find any easy guides for complete idiots online, networking really is not my strong point so any suggestions and tips would be much appreciated

Also is there a way of making a wireless zone in my office whilst still keeping the Direct Ethernet connection to my PC?

Thanks in advance
