Maingear Shift Case Cooling Options?

AliceSML79

i have a maingear shift case that was modded by nvidia to raffle off after my brother passed. he was a freelance beta tester driver developer.  the winner of it sent it to me since he was my brother and he only wanted guts inside the case.  it was over heating the pc a lot in past so i switched to a 800d. but now my 800d caught fire so im resurrecting my memorial case.  there is a acrylic panel that lights up with leds.  it has all the wiring covered by black duct tape plugged into a power block.  but because of this i wonder what cpu cooler i should use.  like should i get 120mm closed loop or something like a noctua.

on a side note the pc kept over heating because the twin 180mm x 32mm where so clogged up they burned up.

Thanks in Advance, Alice

How well can it pull air in from the top or from the front? I don't know anything about Maingear's cases.

If it's not so great, an AIO would be the best bet.

do you all think my case would have enough clearance for the following cpu cooler linus used in his ultimate video editing ws?  im wanting to do a x99 build with a i7-5960x slightly OC.  i killed the p55 system because i was encoding a video, streaming music for djing, in second life online community as a dj at a big party and surfing the web to edit my mp3 tags for my djing.  all this over loaded the system that cased  my silverstone st1500 silver psu to short out and short out and burned up all my wiring in my 800d with my evga p55 ftw 200, tri-sli 280 with dedicated physics system. i am a serious multitasker

so those reasons and the fact it will be a 24/7 365 cable card raid 5 dvr at the same time as well is why im planing on a i7 5960x on x99 certified board like the asus ws board.  want make sure it stays cool

Cooling Components

i found its specks on silverstones web site.  says 170mm clearance but with the wiring im guessing i should limit myself to 150mm.

so can anyone recommend a good 150mm cpu cooler that would work well with a i7 5960x?
