Big Monitor's vs. Small Monitor's for gaming

Just curious as to everyone's take on this. Growing pretty disappointed with the display on my current monitor a.k.a. my television (lol). Considering a reasonable cost effective upgrade, but I'm wondering if people prefer a larger or smaller display for gaming because my current display is 32-inches and I can't say I've been too disappointed with the size per-say. Also some monitor recommendations would be neato!

I use a 55" tv so I am not qualified to answer this question. lol.

But if I were to answer it, I much prefer a big screen because it fills my peripheral vision (sort of like 3 monitor surround) and gives a more immersive experience.

Not good for fps though...

I played Skryim with mods on my 13" laptop since it came out. And I occasionally play console exclusives on a 60 incher. I dont really find it hard switching between them

I use a 32 inch Dynex piece of stinky poo that my mother purchased for me a few years ago and ever since I built my battle rig I've realized how not good 1360x768 is at the size close up.

24" definitely.

I ended up playing Dota 2 on my Mac a couple days ago...and holy crap 15" in WAY too small.

22 inch master race

Honestly I think that 24'' 1080p is the sweet spot for PC gaming.

I will argue that 23" is better because at a desk it isn't too large and isn't too small.

I'd say 23"-27" 1440p monitors are the best options out there now for gaming.

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.

Okay. I have no reply for this.

1920x1200 ?

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Disgusting resolution. :P

That bit extra is nice for RTS / MMORPG games.

120 pixels doesn't really make much of a difference. If I wanted more space I'd get a 1440p or 1600p monitor.
