Probably the 850 pro if you mean SATA 3, but the new OCZ revodrive is pretty darn good as it's a PCI-E SSD, as is that plextor PCI-E/M.2 drive.

Until they utilise a full PCI-E 16x slot...not interested.

For value, I would say Crucial MX100 drives. For pure speed I would say Samsung 850 Pro and somewhat of an inbetween, go for some used 840 pro drives. They're not as fast as the 850 pros but they also cost like half the price and they are faster than the Crucial drives.

why? you can plug them on the 16x slot, the slot will run at 4x :/

he meant bandwith. then again there arent many consumer tasks that require that kind of bandwith anyway xD

Tell me why would you want to erase something at 8 GB/s :P (PCI-e 2.0 16x)

I was thinking PCI-E 3.0 16x. But you know...certain files...need transferred...

You still don't need that much speed for that. You're limited on the speed of the drive you're transferring to anyway.

so... you will be using an SSD? then just overvolt it :D delete rate = infinite/s =D

actually 300 000 km/s over the chips ;) or a little less due to resistance :P

ram is still way faster

One of those drives to another identical higher capacity drive? Also it was more of a joke anyway.

perfect plan.
