Boot drive not detected in BIOS

I have an Asus q200e that I bought refurbished from Newegg. I had some problems and reinstalled Windows. Long story short, it turned out to be a hardware issue with the keyboard. Now I have a hard drive with Windows 7 that isn't being recognized as a boot device. It also wasn't recognizing my Windows flash drive. I can go into the SATA devices in the bios and it shows the drive information; but it's not showing in the boot menu.

Ideas?

If it can mean anything to anybody at any time, it means nothing.

flash the bios or clear the cmos maybe ?

I have updated the bios but I haven't cleared the cmos. Not exactly sure how to do that on a laptop. Does it have a battery on the mobo?
