P2P VPN?

prolemur

right now I have a data cap of 100GB and whenever I go over it my internet speed drops to 56k. However my p2p downloads will sometimes run at full speed. I found this while using bit torrent and thought that if there was something like a p2p vpn for the last days of the month where I have to live with 10 year old internet speeds could be eradicated.

So if anyone out there knows of something like this that they use that would be great to hear about it, or if anyone has other suggestions.

My download and upload speeds of torrents in the past ~5 hours, the spikes are maximum speed for my plan 5mbps and it bottoms out around 30kbps.

I get what you're saying but I don't think a service like that exists. It's likely though that your ISP is only limiting certain traffic, e.g. port 80, 443. And P2P doesn't fall under that. If you could do more testing to determine what they do slow down, then you could just get a VPN like PIA and connect to it on a non-limited port.

Comb it with a brick

I'm not entirely sure but this could be caused by the isp only throttling your data that is outgoing from the isp and not within their network and the peers that are giving you good speeds are on the same isp.
