Is the sony xepria z2 fragile?

So i see that the z2 has a glass back and i wounder if i drop the phone if this back glass will break(i know lots of 4s broke like this).

Other than that i know that i think the z2 is a great phone and will basicly just remove the crappy sony stuff and enjoy a great phone.

Also and nexus 6 rumors, cause the nexus 5 is the other phone im looking at.

My note 3 replacement phone (for 14 days) is the xperia z (not z1, just z) and the back glass is pretty fragile. Can't comment on the Z2 but i image it'll be similar.

my z1 is holding up pretty well, i seem to drop it every time i get out of a car and hasnt cracked yet.

It's not that bad. I have a friend with a Z1 who's dropped it numerous times and had it shot 3 times with a bb gun and the glass just has some slight marks to it.

However, if you drop it, depending on how it lands, it'll shatter. At the end of the day it's still glass. I have no idea why manufacturers think that's a great idea for the back of a device.

Yeah unless you lob the phone at a wall it wont break, from what i understand it can survive a 20 foot drop, there was also the thing about the phone surviving a few weeks under 32 foot of water in some lake.

I have the Z1. I have flung it across my dining room (With tile floor), it only got a small scratch on the side metal ring.

nope, if it hits and edge it shatters really easily.

Its a strong phone, even compared to a S5, but it is pretty big and the flaps on the side are just horrible

it does come with a one year, replacing it yourself would most likely kill its waterproof seal

Premium feel.

I don't see it as that premium, plus it attracts dirt and grime extremely fast which really detracts from any kind of premium look. It also makes it slippery.

It's just a very poor material for use on the back of a phone, as most companies are actually learning.
