There are other intructions for doing it if you search "how to remove dual boot" in google or whatever.

A while back a friend came to me with an SSD and a copy of windows 7, not thinking of the USB tool I just unplugged one of my hard drives (could have sworn it was my boot drive but apparently not) and plugged his in, formatted it, and installed Windows for him with his copy of Windows 7. So here is the problem, When I boot up my computer it still gives me the option to boot of that drive, and it goes to that one by default so if I don't pay attention it boots to that one, realizes the drive isn't there and gives me the error code for no hard drive. It's not a huge problem, doesn't slow down my boot time much, but its still rather annoying. Any help is appreciated, system specs below.

  • Windows 7 Pro 64 bit
  • ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 (BIOS P2.10)
  • Intel i7 3770k
  • 4x4GB GSkill Ripjaws X (1600MHz)
  • ASUS GTX 780 (stock)
  • Samsung 840 Pro SSD (256GB) boot drive
  • Seagate Barricuda 2TB storage drive
  • WD Caviar Green 1TB storage drive
  • EVGA Supernova 1300w PSU
