Can't remove 24 pin mobo power connector?!?!?

Matt Wakey

So I have started building my pc, everything is working fine and I'm quite happy considering this is my first build.

I've tested the system outside the case and it's all working, all fans spinning, my cpu and ram showing up.

So now I need to remove the 24 pin motherboard connector but I've tried and it won't come out. I was wondering if there is any certain technique as I am worried I will damage the mobo:/

Thanks in advance.

System specs-

I5 4570

Asus H81-I plus

8gb crucial Ballistix sport

Msi r9 270 gaming 2gb

Bitfenix prodigy

Corsair cx600

Rock it back and forth gently. I've had similar issues with my RM650, where the 24 pin, 6+2 pin and 8 pin connectors are all really tight.

P.s. do make sure that you're pressing the locking clip open.

Which direction? :)

Doesn't matter. I usually try up and down (rocking it the long way), but whatever happens to work better. Try both.

Make sure you're pressing the little latch thing and then wiggle it out.
