cambob3000

im looking to buy some new headphones/earphones and i was just wondering peoples experiences with the ATH M50x's and sure se215's for the money id like to get the 215's because i could use them at school and at home where as the M50x's would be big and bulky for that but if they are that much better then ill get those. what does everyone think? :)

You should also look into the Logitech UE6000s. I opt'd for them over the ATH M50s (pretty much identical  as the m50x), but the UE6000s are now like $80, and well worth it. The SE215s are also great, although, I find over-ear to be better unless you absolutely need the better portability of IEMs.

If you're walking around a lot get some IEM's and then buy some over-ear headphones later on down the road when you can.

I have the SE215's and I don't ever leave the house without them. I have no complaints other than the foam tips going bad on me and now I gotta buy more (but it's been like a year so..).

There's also another pair of IEM's that have a removable cable but are a little cheaper, I just can't remember who makes them. I'll find them really quick.

EDIT: The cheaper IEM's I was thinking about are from V-Moda, but I don't think they'll be as good as the Shure's.

Well, thats the very nature of foam tips. They're better, but don't last nearly as long.
