Reds almost feel like membrane keyboards imo.

Get Blues if you don't mind the noise and browns if you do. (both are louder than membrane keyboards)

I've owned keyboards with blues, browns and reds but I like the Reds the best even for typing. I would like to try out the blacks. browns would be my second favorite.

Once you go (mx) black, you can never go back.

Don't get me wrong, I like Black, even have a couple of boards with Black......but, Clear is clearly the switch for me (see what I did there?) :D

I use them all. They all have their pros and cons. Also add modded switch types like Ergo Clears ( My favorites), tacto blacks, pandas, and bruised.

When I saw this brown was winning, which is what I voted, but it always seems like reds (then blue, then brown) are the most popular by far in stores and whatnot. Why is that?

Ok so i just got this cherry mx sample from Maxkeyboard.

   I've heard that the brown should have the tactile feedback of the blues but without the sound. However i find that it's very hard to feel where it is, and its just feeling like something is kind of scratching all the time when im pushing down the brown switch.

So i just wanted to hear, if anyone could confirm that, or if something may be wrong with the switch :)?

Browns have a tactile bump, but it is not as crisp as that on Blues, Brown is not among my fave MX switch anymore because it feels mushy. Clear has an even more pronounced bump compared to Blue, with no clicks. Think of it as a stiffer Brown with a very pronounced bump......hence, it's the switch I'd voted for.

I have used the Black, Blue and Brown versions.

Black is weird for me, I feel like I'm hammering the keyboard;

Blue won't let anyone sleep in my house if I'm using it 4AM. I like it a lot;

Browns have that awesome bump when you press them and do not have that clicky noise. I love you Browns.

I have a Ducky 9008G2 with MX Blues at work, a K95 with MX Reds and a G710+ with MX Browns.

I think you need to try the same keyboard with different switches to be able to compare apples to apples.

My favourite keyboard is the Ducky 9008G2 with the MX Blues, as its my work keyboard it gets used the most and i still find it the most enjoyable. I got the K95 at home and they seem loud and they just dont give any 'feedback' I really dislike using this keyboard, I also think that they keycaps feel like they are high and I can never well adapt back to using this keyboard. Its the nicest looking, but I just dont use it. Lastly I have the G710+ with MX Browns, they dont give the feeling of a 'silent' MX Blue to me but with the rubber o-rings it is a nice keyboard to type on and I can swap between the Ducky and the 710+ easily.
