While going through Pcpartpicker while making a build I noticed something odd. R9 290 Tri-x is £296 at its cheapest. The R9 290X (yes the X-version) Tri-x is £299 (next cheapest is £380) at scan.co.uk

Either this deal is a steal or something is not right.

Nice deal. Though the card looks kind of meh.

Just for your info, a lot of these cards are DOA or doesn't work properly.

Scan wouldn't sell a card that isn't properly functioning.

I never said it was bad. I just don't like the colour scheme or how it looks in general.

That is a v sexy price.

 

 

This is the most legit news I've seen so far about new gpu's coming out soon (lower gpu prices)..

The Tri-X is one of the best AMD coolers/cards out there right now.

Wouldn't fit many mid sized cases though (without removing hard drive cages)

Pretty sure it was a pricing error - their site now has one 290x tri-x for over £400 and another listed that just states "call for price".
