if someone's buying into X99 now I thinik that means that they have the cash not to wait around for a few dollars off memory lol

saved money is still money, and they can transfer it to some other parts.

not only enthusiast buy these you know, ppl that are making a living out of computers would like to save every penny possible

or cunning PC builders that build PC for enthusiast could use these websites, then charge for the usual price and buy it cheaper.

do not recommend it

i'm happy that so far we are having 51 people signing up,

massdrop now has a page on DDR4, so anyone who wants to build an x99 system might be able to take advantage of it

https://www.massdrop.com/vote/computer-memory-1

What your link is, is a voting page for people who would want to have DDR4 memory as a possible drop. Keep dreaming. As with almost all computer hardware, massdrop can't drop these items.

Spoiler

Either 1 stick of RAM or 4... Logic???

I want 2 for dual channel and so that it will be upgradable in the future (since it is a new technology).

Why would you run dual channel on X99?

So you want to buy something you can only use in 1 platform, a platform that supports quad channel... But you want dual channel so you can save it in a box in your room until you can get broadwell or something.............?

Well, I see people will continue to be morons and fill their slots with low-capacity DIMMs (4 GB in this case) at the start of every generation.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.
