noctual fans

PF Skipper
Go to solution Solved by jaffacakes,

i've been looking at the noctual fans and they have quite a few "functions":

  • NF-F = Focused Flow
  • NF-A = Air Flow (Case fan)
  • NF-S = Silence (Aimed at nothing but silence)
  • NF-P = Pressure
  • NF-R = Raised blade
  • NF-B = Beveled blade

what all this mean and what are they for?

Focused flow = More for smaller areas, like infront of the HDD cage or in rads.

Air flow = More for letting air go around the case, general cooling.

Silence = Air flow based but at a lower rpm for more of a silent rig

Pressure = Mostly rads.

Raised blade = For small and low rpm fans so that they are more effecient

Beveled blade = Between Air flow and Silence.

  • NF-F = Focused Flow = direct airflow feature that gives better airflow direction and static pressure when the fans are mounted in push
  • NF-A = Air Flow (Case fan) = less static pressure, better for placement where there are no to minimum airflow restrictions
  • NF-S = Silence (Aimed at nothing but silence) = true, not worth it tho because the fans spin at really low rpm making them pretty shitty
  • NF-P = Pressure = older versions of the NF-F class fans, they still perform great, a good bargain if you can get em cheaper
  • NF-R = Raised blade = dunno
  • NF-B = Beveled blade = dunno

Edit: damn it got  'ed

Bert & Ernie before squirting spermie.
