Anyone knows what AMD is doing

intel is releasing new stuff al the time and AMD seems so quiet (in the processor lineup) that i wonder what they are doing

 

amd has always been the one to go to for the bang/buck but intel has released so many things thast currently its hard to recommend almost any of the AMD processors 

i really wish amd gives us new processors...maybe get a sever lineup going on? dunno you tel me what you want in the comments :)

cant recall what video it was from

but it was an interview from a few days ago

Well I think the rumour is amd is making a new architechture for the cpus as the module one is more for apus to save die space (By sharing stuff) such as the fpu, as it's more efficient to do floating point on the gpu (or integrated gpu for apus) which is what they're trying to push.

I doubt it, it will be the 'slightest' refinement of the current FX's at best lol

I'm still believing the modular design was made for a CPU and GPU to share resource but thats not ever going to happen is it?

They'll come out with a new architecture. it might even be based off Jaguar considering it's not too much different from phenoms. 
 

Carrizo might be something to consider but Intel is coming up on that too.

Unless the "refresh" of the FX series has dramatically improved the single core performance, then there is still little reason to recommend FX processors.

 

Last I heard, the new architecture from AMD will be coming out in 2016.

Amd needs to step up their game,thats for sure. in GPUs they have gotten nvidea cornered for a while,but intel is dominating right now...they can demand any price and we will pay it because there is no competition. (at least not in the high end)
