SSD Questions and Recommendations?

1. What's with these SSD numbered series? What do they mean and which is better?

2. I'm planning to get 2 128/120GB SSD, my eyes are on Intel and Samsung SSDs, but I'm not sure with these series numbers, can you recommend 1 from Intel and 1 from Samsung? I'd prefer reliability.
