1055t Maximum CPU or Core temp?

I currently have an old 1055t processor and I would like to know which temperatures should I be looking at when checking for max temperatures in Prime95 or 100% load.

Full load Core Temperature is 21 degrees celcius according to AMD Overdrive.

Full load CPU Temperature is 49 degrees celcius according to Core Temp and NZXT Cam.

 

Which one do I take into consideration when comparing it to the TJMax of the CPU?

Don't use AMD Overdrive. Its not accurate -- this based off of personal experience with a Phenom II X6 1090T, A6-3670K, and a FX-8350.

Instead, use something like HWMonitor or AiDA64.

Your idle or load temperatures CANNOT be lower than your ambient (room) temperature. That is going against the very laws of Physics and Science.

The maximum safe operating temperature, provided by AMD, is 62°C.

With a more reliable temperature monitoring software, the Core Temperature may not be accurate until the CPU is loaded.

The temperature sensor is in the CPU socket on the motherboard, and not actually IN the CPU itself.

In your case, 49°C seems much more realistic. Your Prime95 temperature can't possibly be 21°C unless:

- You live in an area where it is like -10°C

- You are using some kind of phase-changing or Extreme forms of cooling (I.e. Dry ice, Liquid Nitrogen)
