I need your opinion

Im about to order my new build and I just saw Haswell-E came out.  I was going to go with a 4790k and 32gbs of corsair vengeance pro ram and [ http://pcpartpicker.com/p/6nLQK8 ] but since I'm buying from microcenter I saw the 5820k is only 20 bucks more so idk if i should switch

If any of you guys can do this can u make a revised system list for the 5820k [including watercooling parts]

My uses for the pc will be gaming and vid editing as well as some programming

note : i didnt actually buy w/c yet someone else is going to pay 4 that so i put it down as purchased

Is  a very good deal , but you will have to go with a different platform

I will suggest buying it since is so cheap :)

This cpu are bassicly the same and perform the same as well

so if you oc 4790k you will be fine,

but still is a very good deal since you will be doing video editing which need more cores to perform faster :)

For gpu ? with what will you g with?

That RAM is super overkill. You're pretty much throwing $200 away there. Grab a cheaper 16GB kit at either 1600/1866/2133. As for Haswell-E, I wouldn't bother unless you are willing to spend a whole lot more money because DDR4 is not going to be cheap.

you can get a wd blue or a seagate barracuda, 16 gb of ram would be enough

The CPU might only be an extra $20, but the motherboard is going to be another $150 or so, as is the RAM.

As for whether it's worth it or not, if video editing is your work, I'll say yes. If it's just a hobby, throwing some gameplay on Youtube or whatever, then in my honest opinion, no. And I have absolutely no idea what programming needs hardware wise so I can't judge value for that.

INTEL CORE i5-7600K | ASUS ROG STRIX B250i GAMING | CRUCIAL BALLISTIX SPORT LT 16GB | EVGA GTX 970 SC | EVGA B3 550W
SAMSUNG 850 EVO 250GB | CRYORIG M9i | BE QUIET! PURE WINGS 2| FRACTAL DESIGN DEFINE NANO S

Do you need the the 2 extra cores? do you need the 12 extra pcie lanes? do you need ddr4? do you need the metric crapton of sata ports?

Those you should ask yourself first

I actually think for your scenario, it would be helpful to go for the X99 Platform.  It sounds like you are a true power user, and you will benefit greatly from this extra horsepower.  The i7-4790k is no slouch, but if you are willing to spend the money and be an early adopter, then 5820k is worth it.  Just be aware that you will be spending more money on motherboard and DDR4, not to mention, problems might arise because you are an early adapter.

I wasn't sure if you needed a monitor, so I didn't include one.  I would like to recommend the LG Superwide 34' 1440p Curved Monitor.

I don't have much experience with custom watercooling, I have a separate AIO for my CPU and GPU(cost less than $200) Im assuming you mean a GPU water block?  First, you have to decide what model R9 290 you want, then you go to EK's website and find a GPU water block that is compatible with your card.  This water block is going to cost between $100-$150 depending how fancy you want it.

Please give that case I mentioned some serious consideration, it is a magnificent case.  I own the Phanteks Enthoo Pro which is the $100 version, and even that case is a water cooler's delight.  For your build, I selected the Enthoo Luxe which comes with a few extras.  You will not find a higher quality, more feature-rich case than the Phanteks Enthoo Pro/Luxe for the money.  The customer service is also top notch.  I cannot recommend the Phanteks line of cases enough.

Ya, it is an expensive monitor, but it is really incredible and it sounds like you will be doing a lot of work related tasks, so having a big and beautiful monitor will really help you out.  Another option, which is more economical is buying two monitors and putting them side by side.  It is far less expensive, but you will have a bezel in the middle.

LG34UM65 - $600 <-- Same monitor as previously mentioned except 1080p

LG27EA33V - $230 <-- This monitor is actually pretty incredible, I just stumbled upon it while looking for you and am now considering it for a colleague.  It is 27inches, made by LG, and most importantly IPS Panel.  Whatever monitor you buy, make sure that it is IPS panel.  It has a low response time of 5ms, making it fantastic for work or gaming, and best of all, is only $230.  It is currently out of stock on Tigerdirect and Newegg, it has VERY positive reviews all around.  I should note, TigerDirect is offering $15 off any purchase of $100 or more this weekend for Labor Day.  Bringing the total down to $215 if it was in stock, or if you could somehow back-order it?  Downside-1 Year Warranty

Asus 239H-P - $160 <-- This is the monitor that I use personally.  I enjoy it a lot.  My main purpose for my rig is gaming and general computer use.  It is a very nice monitor from a good brand, came with a 3 year warranty(a lot of monitors come with only 1), and is big enough for my use.  In all honesty, I am looking to upgrade to 1440p in the near future, probably the 34" LG Curved Monitor.  But for what I do, and what you do, it is a nice-cost effective option.

EDIT*  The Asus Monitor is actually only $155 on Amazon, and you can pair that with a $10 MIR for a total of $145.

If you need something with exceptional color accuracy or something to that effect, the Asus ProArt(PA) Series is very good, but more expensive.
