Advice needed

Go to solution Solved by KamiKatze,

Not urgent, I have a backup pc just incase something like this happen, and its my media server :P anyways, just though to myself, why not upgrade a little, I have been saving for a bit now soo. But I don't want to do X99, just cuz of the ram, i dont think i can fathom the prices :P so back to what I was here for, whats the best X79 for sub-zero?

I'd say the Asus Ramoage IV Extreme would work. X79 is not my profession though. :(

Go for x79 now and let it last me a while or wait out for skylake? To put things in perspective, my cpu just died, or the motherboard did. Idk :$ yet so this sparked the idea of getting some new parts. Why not go for x99, just have a feeling DDR4 may have some issues along with the new mobos for x99. Like anything brand spanking new. Another thing to mention, I will be doing benching in the sub-zero temperature. So whats a good x79 board for sub-zero?

The consumer market for X99 has just opened. Maybe it's best to wait another month for some reports to roll in. But your CPU died, so i gues it's kind of urgent?

who cares...
