$1000 build foreseeing

Before even attempting to collaborate and choosing the components, will a total of $1000 allow me to play the most demanding games at ultra settings with good fps on a 1080 monitor? What fps can I expect in bf4 on ultra for example and newer, future games?

 

I really do  want to stick to this budget as another 300 to 400 dollars will to go a custom acrylic water cooling loop. The case that I have chosen is the popular air 540.

 

Also I would like to overclock both the cpu and gpu. Could you suggest the most suitable motherboard for OC at this price point? Thanks a lot for your good insight as always :)

First off, for $1000 you'll be able to build a machine that's going to run next to everything on the highest settings. Just don't expect to get 60fps in Crysis 3 on very high, or on Battlefield 4 with 200% texture scaling. In fact, you should be able to build it for a little less than $1000. Can't give you any exact numbers or benchmarks until you tell us what sort of parts you're looking at. And in the Air 540, you should be able to fit the acrylic watercooling loop no problem, I believe it's been done before.

Well I would suggest decreasing the PSU to a 650w, 750w just isn't needed for that build. If you're comfortable with it, go down to 80 plus Silver or Bronze. It isnt going to catch fire ;) 

Maybe look at some cheaper ram, the Crucial Balistix sport series is just $77 on Amazon for instance. I would also look at a cheaper SSD, maybe a Sandisk or a Crucial drive. 

The Asus board is great for overclocking and has some useful features for it too, but it may be overkill unless you want some really high overclocks, but I'm not really an expert on overclocking.

No problem bro :) And I'd consider maybe moving to a smaller SSD before eliminating it, I'm running a 64gb Sandisk SSD as my boot drive and its awesome.

But you can get 650W PSU,and even bronze like Alwinwood told you. Also I would personally go with gigabyte z97 motherboard,for example d3h,which should be cheaper.
You will have no problems to overclock your CPU with this motherboard.
So save some money there. And why do you want to go with water cooling? At this price point I really don't see reason for that.

Will downgrade the psu as I am not a fan of sli so probably I will never use all that power. Thanks for the cheaper mobo option. 

 

I will water cool for the shallow reason of aesthetics :P and also to improve temperatures and to gain more experience on the matter.

Well water cooling it's nice,but I personally see reason for it only if you go with 2000$ build. But if you like it go for it.

Well,even if you take 750W psu,I really don't think so that it will be enough for 2 gtx770,overclocked i5-4690k,and other things you have. For that you would probably want to go with 850W psu to be safe. I have 750W,and I won't be able to sli asus gtx 780 and I have same cpu. I really don't know how much power 77' is using but it is probably about the same.

I don't know much about watercooling,but even a 600W should be able to handle it with no problems without water cooling. I don't know how much W does water cooling use,and does it use power from PSU or from other source.
