the only way razer will switch back is if people vote with their wallets. it was a business decision and if they turn higher profits in their keyboards overall even with lower numbers, they'll not be going back.

especially with their RGB line, they will probably be making higher profits and not change back.

that's probably why they switched away from Cherry switches as a whole. that way their RGB line wouldn't have a significant difference in feel. at the same time they also increased their profits on their keyboards. for them it's a win-win unless people stop buying razer because of the inferior switches, but considering how many membrane keyboards sell these days, I doubt that would happen.

The people clamouring about these changes are the same ones who will SWEAR they can tell a difference between 120hz and 144hz on a monitor and also the same ones who SWEAR they know what each kind of switch on a keyboard is and how they know how to minimize their input lag and how they 360noscopebruh in CS 1.6 for days.

well actually razer is one of the few companies that actually listens to their community, take that tablet as example, the community had the chance to give input, wich they did, but afterwards they still rejected it mostly while knowing the risks beforehand.

Good luck with that. The average consumer has no real grasp on how to actually perform a boycott. Gamers are no different. They bitch and moan about how the next COD, BF, or Assassin's Creed will be DLC ridden, buggy pieces of shit... Then 99% of the ones who complained proceed to buy it - often day-one full price or preorder.

 

Gamers in general seem to have bad self control. People complain but in the end, people still buy it.

Which would you rather have a case made of thick aluminum or a case made of thin steel? Now ask yourself, would you buy a case made of thin steel if it were the same price as a case made of thick aluminum. If you answered no to the latter, now you understand. The reason for the outrage is that Razer went with cheaper switches of lower quality and kept charging the same amount as if they were using premium switches. I mean, I certainly would be pissed if I paid top dollar at a steak house and the waiter returned with a Mcdonald's Happy Meal burger.

That's an over-generalization. Many Razer products are perfectly good and worth while. Though certainly they do have some overpriced items that you're paying mostly for the physical design. But I'd hardly say it's the Beats of periphs.
