Wow

I mean it was pretty cool in tomb raider, because making Lara seem more human had a really big emotional impact on the player

it really makes NO effect in this game other than to slow your FPS down

How about they put this in future Elder Scrolls games?

Imagine that... You've just finished your glorious Nord warrior and you're off to conquer Tamriel with your warhammer, shiny armor and your long, golden, flowing hair... It's beautiful...

I agree. When it came down to actually playing the game, it's not even something I noticed. I found it more beneficial to have it off just so my gpu does not warm up.

Oh I actually thought it was fantastic, but it made sense in tomb raider

TressFX can be used for grass and foliage too , so I hope the tech gets expanded on in the future

@SeanBond so you run all your games on low then, ridiculous.

Haha I thought that too, any way of improving graphics and realism I am all for

if they can get rid of the shininess of the hair to make it even more realistic and actually improves its usage amd could create a rendering solution for all manners of furs and hair.

Well I guess nvidia have their furworks thing, hair (along with things like grass, leaves, fences etc) are one thing graphics engines find REALLY hard to do, they require so much compute performance, as well as very talented 3d modelling, as well as tons of tessellation

Baby steps but I am glad it is being looked into!

@SeanBond so you run all your games on low then, ridiculous.

What is ridiculous is turning on wiggly hair and increasing gpu load by 40%. No silly man. I run all my games on ultra locked at 71fps at 1080p. I just didn't like tressfx enough to have my card become audible when I don't have headphones on. Also tressFx has weird issues on 780ti's. Sometimes the hair would freak out.

Furworks scales a hell of lot better than TressFX while looking far more realistic, but right now I think it is only used for rendering movies and stuff.

tress fx is cool but as a product or feature it is a failure really

TressFX does not even have a Wikipedia page, even PhysX has one.

I'd rather them use that Hair FX that they're using in Witcher
