New to water cooling - H220-X

Hello all,

I'm pretty comfortable doing anything with a PC, but water cooling is something I've never touched before. I'm looking to get a H220-x and I would like to expand the loop to cool my single GTX 770.

I'm wondering if anyone has any water blocks you would recommend for the video card above. Along with any additional fittings you think I might need along with any input if you think I might run into some issues doing the loop this way.

Thanks for the help =] This is what my current build looks like LINK!

I think you can only mount the reservoir on top because of some issue with the res so you might have to look into that. Luke talks about it on the video about the 220x

I have no problem mounting that to the top. Are you saying it being at the top of the case would cause some issues or?

Oh, well if i'm going to have to add tubing for the gpu I can re-do the tubing for the cpu as well. I just don't know what's the best types of fittings to use, and i'm having a hard time trying to find a full water block for my gpu.

There's this one. If it says "reference" what I have should work shouldn't it? EVGA uses all reference boards correct? Also, are back plates usually just to keep the card more structurally stiff so it's not so flimsy without the stock cooler?

Yes the reference coolers work with EVGA cards and backplates prevent sagging of the graphics card so it's good to have one since no one wants a bent graphics card. Have fun with water cooling :)

About the fittings, I'd suggest compression fittings since the barbs are a little hard to use and aren't recommended unless you're on a budget.
