750D, Best fan config. with rad? (with diagrams)

This would seem to be the best way, but would the pipes on the H100i reach the CPU? 

And if I were to do this, I guess I'd have to use an adaptor to I can put my HDD in one of the optical bays.

 

 

 

 

 

Option 3 seems to be the more popular one as it does follow the standard way of setting up your fans... 

Although I'm not a huge fan of the hot air going through the rad. 

 

How much would that affect the efficiency, or does it even matter?

(I know it would still take the heat away from the coolant, which is what you want, but wouldn't cool air be better?)

I don't think that from the bottom it will reach the cpu but you can give it a try and if it doesn't work use  the front panel.Last resort is putting the rad on the top with exhaust fans.The difference between bottom and top as performance will be about 5 maybe 10 degrees celsius maxx

Hi, I've been meaning to upgrade my cooling for my system for a while, as it's not the best. 

 

I plan on getting a Corsair H100i along with a 750D.

And, I'm at a loss at what fans should be doing what...

 

Here are some diagrams of the possible configs. I have in my head. (they're probably horribly wrong)

5) This one I just thought of as I was making the thread, and would probably be the one I would go with, but, meh, I ain't an expert.

Possible issues with no. 4+5, are if I were to have my PSU facing down, it could possibly suck the exhaust air from bottom. 
And with no. 5, would the GPU (ASUS 7850 DCUii) get adequate cool air? (Bear in mind there are no side fans)

(Edit: I forgot to mention I'll be using 2x AF120's and 2x SP120's by Corsair as well as the included case fans.)

(Edit2: I thought putting it in the water cooling section may have been the best place for it, as it's the rad that is making me wonder what would be to best config. (sorry if I was wrong))

I'd go with choice 3* on cooling orientation, hot air goes up cool air stays down. I see this option as the most efficient one.

What i would suggest is mounting the rad at the very bottom of the case if you can or on the front panel this way cooler air will circulate through it.Top fans will always be used as exhaust because hot air will always go up.Scheme no3 is fine but as i said mount the rad at the very bottom

If you can set up your rads to be at the front and the bottom you'd remove the problem of having potentially warm/hot air moving through your rads exiting the case. 

 

Though that would require more planning and whatnot. 

 

It's really up to how flexible your build is.

I'll try mounting it at the bottom/front and see, I'll have the fans pushing that should bring the rad 25mil closer, might just ease any tension on the pipes. 

But if it comes down to: I can't mount it at the bottom/front, I can live with 5-10 degree increase, (It'll still be better than what I'm getting now)

 

If you can set up your rads to be at the front and the bottom you'd remove the problem of having potentially warm/hot air moving through your rads exiting the case. 

 

Though that would require more planning and whatnot. 

 

It's really up to how flexible your build is.

It's pretty flexible, I might have to remove to both HDD cages but I only have one HDD (and if I were to upgrade it would be to an SSD) so it's not a problem.
