Thats tempting.....but I really shouldn't

How much of an improvement would these yield over the Seidon 240m and/or H440 stock fans? Both noise and performance.

The H440 stock fans, quite a bit.

The Seidon 240M  that is kind of what I am deciding on too.  The 3.9mm/H20 is the same in both fans, the Cooler Master Blade Master(Stock Seidon 240M Fans) as well as the Noctua.  I would imagine the Noctuas to be a lot more quiet.  Thing is, my Seidon performs so well at 50% Fan speed(1200rpm) that noise isn't really an issue.

If you are looking for some good quality case fans for cheap, check out the Cougar Vortex PWMs.  I am in love with these fans, they are truly incredible, especially for the price.

Well, up to what point are the noctuas still quiet? Like yours, my Seidons are limited to 50%, and still gets me to 4.3 ghz @ 1.2v and max temps around 75º under prime95 small FFT. But, with 100% improve performance or is 50% enough anyway--therefore negating any benefits of a fan that can run faster anyway...

Then again, I should also be able to push my seidon fans further than 50% since now its going to be in an h440 rather than a 350D.

Check out my Review With Statistics of the Seidon 240M.  Should give you a rough idea of how voltage and fan speed impact temperatures.  I have no need to increase the speed over 1200rpm because it performs so well, and it is fairly quiet up until 1600rpm, giving me ample headroom for performance and silence.  Anything over 1600rpm and it gets noticeably loud.  At full speed, you can hear it in the next room over.

Personally, I don't think it is worth it other than E-Peen.  The Static Pressure rating is exactly the same on both fans, and Static Pressure(mm/H20) is the most important statistic in terms of performance for radiator situations.  Will the Noctuas be more quiet?  They should be, but that is a steep price to pay for silence, especially when the performance and low noise is so good with the stock fans of the Seidon.

One way that you could maybe justify it, is that you only paid $55 for the Seidon 240M, so the $25-$30 gift card you get as a rebate could go towards performance fans.  Personally, I am going to stick with my stock fans.  You should look into the Cougar Vortexs though, they are incredible case fans.

I just have to decide whether or not to upgrade my H440 case fans....

Ya, upgrade the stock fans of the H440.  That case looks beautiful, but has a big problem with airflow.  I highly recommend the Cougar Vortexs.  If TigerDirect($5 after MIR) isn't cooperating with you, Amazon and Newegg often have the same fans on sale for $10.

Yeah, I can't even add them to the cart (looks like they're out of stock)...so its not going to happen from them.

Ahh, well just goes to show how popular of a fan they are.  I originally bought 2 of them and ended up replacing every single fan in my case with them because of how incredible they are.  Just wait until Newegg or Amazon has them for $10.

Nf-F12's worth it for the H440?

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

For case fans?  No.  Unless you are willing to spend $16 per fan for "silence optimized fans"  I recommend the Cougar Vortex 120/140mm PWMs for $5-$10 though.

Awesome! You will love them, make sure to fill out the rebates!  It took me the full 8 weeks to get my money back, but I got it back.

Already done, just waiting on the stupid UPC codes. God I wish companies would stop requiring those. I almost didn't want to send in a rebate for my motherboard, GPU, cooler, and psu since removing the UPC code often (looking at you cooler master) destroys the box.

Really?  I found Cooler Master to be the best when it comes to Rebates.  I would get my money back in 4-6 Weeks, super fast.  I just use a box cutter and cut off the UPC code carefully.  A sharp pair of scissors would also work I suppose.

Oh, I don't really care about the time--so long as it actually goes through. I'm just sick of cutting up my boxes.

The only time I have ever not had a rebate go through was with Patriot.  I'm really pissed about that too because it was a $30 rebate for some less than optimal RAM. 8GB (4GBx2) of 1600Mhz 10-10-10-27 RAM that was retailing for $80 and after rebate was only $50.  Now, you would normally never buy this RAM for $80, when better stuff can be had for the same price, but at $50, it is a lot more appealing.  Plus, the performance difference is really not noticeable in games when comparing timings.  I feel bad because I was recommending this RAM to people who were on a tight budget, I just hope that their rebates went through.

Yeah, well, you know how rebates and any recommendations about rebates go: "If you can't afford it without the rebate, then don't buy it."
