Not sure how many of you would consider this a mod. Finally got ahold of a second ACX cooler for my titans.

 

Just gotta find some back plate now.

I like the reference cooler look better. Id make a decal to put over the GTX 780 on the side.

It certainly is a mod, can you tell us what the load temps are now with those compared to the old reference coolers?

 

Preferably with the case side panel on. :)

Yeah, well the ACX cooler likes like crap from the side, and the reference cooler looks awesome. 

 

It wouldn't be bad if cards were designed the other way around (with the cooler facing up rather than the PCB).

Why gag? They're good drives, but they're just a little slower, cooler in temperature, quieter and more ideal for RAID setups and any setup where reliability is key.

Wait, are these 780 ACX coolers for 6GB 780s? I thought the 3GB coolers wouldn't work on the Titan because of it's lack of heatsinks for the extra VRAM.

I love the stock coolers more then anything but, don't feel like water cooling at the moment. Hey I have had these hard drives for ever, planned on getting two 2 Tb black or red drives. Only about 5 people have seen my setup in person, they have no idea what they are looking at anyway.

Wait, are these 780 ACX coolers for 6GB 780s? I thought the 3GB coolers wouldn't work on the Titan because of it's lack of heatsinks for the extra VRAM.

There are 3 gigs on each side of the card....

Well at one point it was just one Titan running surround gaming. So I put those on it. Then I put the acx cooler on the one without it and put it on top. Now that they both have it I might swap it back but I want back plates so it won't matter soon enough.

So completely maxed out on a few games running 5760x1080@120hz hz, top 76max and bottom 70max. Don't like playing maxed at its a bit sluggish an messes up my aim.

There not made for Raid that's RED drives... WD Greens is made specifically for back ups as in you back up a drive onto a Green then put it in a safe environment not made for everyday usage... However 2.5" Greens make okay laptop drives because of the low powerconsumptions there still not made for daily use they're made for archiving and back ups not RAID

Well they are being raided right now. Was new to it so I grabbed some hdd's and ssd's and put them on raid 0. Just testing to see how beneficial raid is, not too sure a the moment.

Raiding them isn't impossible I'm just saying SLSAMG was wrong in saying they were optimised for it.

Forgot to mention, with the reference coolers top car would be a little over 80 and the bottom would be in high 70's with room tem around 75°f.

I get what youre saying, It was a spur of the moment type of thing. Used what I had, first time ever raiding, didn't wonna dump more money on drives.
