Quake Live is coming to Steam

Quake Live, id Software's fast-paced, online competitive shooter based on Quake 3 Arena, is coming to Steam, and with it are some changes designed to broaden the appeal of the game to new Quake players, the developer says. The updates to the game are significant, and include things like weapon loadouts, a new gun and other elements that "help bring Quake one step closer to being a modern shooter," id says.

 

Awesome. I've played Quake Live before, but I could never really get into it, mainly because it was a browser game. I could see myself playing a lot more Quake Live if it came to Steam, in which case, it is now, and with a few added goodies. Kudos to Id Software for bringing the game to Steam. Can't wait to play it!

Interesing, it's basically a browser game, I wonder if it'll run within Steam I think that's actually possible.

I'm pretty sure that this was announced or at least rumoured quite a long time ago. Nonetheless really cool and I might give it a shot once it makes an appearance on Steam.
