I'd get the cheapest one with at least a dual fans cooler, they're all pretty good (EVGA with ACX, Gigabyte Windforce, ASUS DCsomething, MSI Twin Frozr)
What country do you live in?

Price isn't worth it for the small extra performance

If I'd go with one now, I'd buy an EVGA or lightning one

The Gigabyte GHz edition isn't bad either, but EVGA and lightning really shine at overclocking here

Any non-reference EVGA

Gigabyte Windforce

Asus DC

I would stay away from

PNY

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

- WCCFTECH

I was only 9 years old. I loved Fifflaren so much, I had all the NiP merchandise and matches pirated. I prayed to Fifflaren every night before bed. Thanking him for the life I have been given. Fifflaren is love I say. Fifflaren is life. My dad hears and calls me a fuckhead. I knew he was just jelly of my passion for Fifflaren. I called him a Sw@yer. He hits me and sends me to go to sleep. I'm crying now, and my face hurts. I lay in bed and it's really cold. A warmth is moving towards me. I feel someone touching me. I feel someone touching me. It's Fifflaren. I am so happy. He whispers in my ear; "this is my pyjama". He grabs me with his powerful Swedish hands and puts me on my hands and knees. I'm ready. I spread my ass cheeks for Fifflaren. He penetrates my butt-hole. It hurts so much but I do it for Fifflaren. I can feel my butt tearing as my eyes start to water. I push against his force. I want to please Fifflaren. He roars a viking roar as he fills my butt with his love. My dad walks in. Fifflaren looks straight into his eyes and says; "He is a ninja now". Fifflaren is love, Fifflaren is life

6GB GTX 780 from EVGA

Not sure if there are any drawbacks to the extra 3gb, but the price difference is not that significant.

If he'll everdo SLI and play at higher resolutions, it might benefit, and it doesn't do any harm and only costs 20 dollars more.

EVGA ACX.

EVGA is the company to get for GeForce, and ACX is the cooler to get from EVGA

Just get the cheapest one. I don't think there's a "bad" 780 tbh.

There are some others that come with higher power intake and that can apparently allow for better overclocks such as the Inno3D 780, or the Windforce Ghz 780

I do ALOT of modded skyrim. Would the 6GB 780 run heavily modded skyrim better then a 3GB 780ti?

And It will be a long time before I can even consider SLI

What's heavily modded? How much are we talking about here?

I've got around 220 mods and using hardly 1.8GB of Vram

Watch Linus' video about the MSI lightning edition, it really shines out compared to the other aftermarket ones BY FAR at overclocking capabilities

180ish mods. ENBs, female body mods with HD textures(dont judge me) like pretty much HD textures everything. What are your frame rates on skyrim? just asking

My monitor is running at 75Hz and it never goes below that. My framerate is capped at 75, hence

I don't know how much fps I gain without vsync on

He won't, if he's not even using half of his VRAM available

@Firearm2112 I edited my other post, read the last sentence and watch linus' video
