Questions about Shield Tablet

Speedrookie

I am looking for a portable gaming solution. I want to go with the shield but still dont know weather i want the tablet or the portable.

First I would like to know how much data (If i was to use cellular) would the shield munch up?

Second, can I download my steam games directly onto the Shield Tablet or on a external Micro SD card so I can play single player?

The main reason I want a portable gaming device is because I would not be around WiFi and I want something that can play my library and can be downloaded directly to the device if i do not have internet.

Thanks

1. Depends, when gaming not all that much I would say per three hours 50-100 megabyte, but then watching youtube etc you can go through 2GB in one day.. I've done it lol.

2. No, it's android not windows, you will have to stream from your PC so before you buy make sure you have a good router.

You do know that you need to be over wi-fi with your computer to play steam games right ? You stream them from your PC.

No, if there is a steam game you want to play on a tablet check the Google and Tegra store and se if it's there, if not. Well too bad.

The reason you can't is because DRM, software and hardware limitations.

+1 Game streaming is just the device showing you a 'video stream' of your PC, like an extra monitor, while sending game inputs back to the computer. The shield isn't doing much of the work, remember it is many times weaker (chip HP) than the PC you're streaming from.
